Anti-Aliasing is the smoothing of jagged edges of drawn graphics and text to improve their appearance or readability.
Describe Open Type Fonts.
Open Type Fonts can contain both the data for fonts to appear on-screen and how they appear after being printed. They also support storage for 65,000 characters. This allows type designers the ability to utilise a large amount of storage for additional characters that would have to be distributed separately if saved in a True Type Font
Describe True Type Fonts.
True Type Fonts were the first to include the data for both how the fonts appear on-screen and how they appear when printed on paper. Increasing resolutions and new approaches to screen rendering have reduced the requirements of True Type Fonts.
Describe a Decorative Font.
Decorative fonts are the fonts that don’t fit into the Serif or Sans Serif area. Fonts like brushes, handwriting, chalkboard or fancy looking fonts. These are the unusual styles of fonts that are mostly used only for decorative purposes.
Describe a Sans Serif Font.
Sans Serif is the Latin word for without feet. Therefore, Sans Serif fonts are the ones that don’t have the little feet on them. They are mostly used for headings and on computer screens.

They have little leading bits around the letters so that your eyes can read the letters more easily. Serif fonts are widely used for body text because they are considered easier to read than sans-serif fonts in print. They are the preferred typeface for text printed in books, newspapers and magazines.

Also, sans serif fonts in text may be more easily read as the small decorative appendages on serif fonts make them more difficult to read in electronic documents.
