Sample Answer
Technological changes have a tremendous impact on the multimedia industry. Hardware advancements have allowed the multimedia industry to speed up production and create higher quality works. Advancements in processing power, graphics cards and new hard drives like solid state have all played a role. These advancements can come at a greater cost to the industry.
Generally in the long run these costs are worthwhile. An example of this is simply looking at the 1977 Star Wars movie and comparing it with the Star Wars movies made today with CGI. Another impact of changing technology can be seen with software. Software advancements have allowed more people to access the industry and create high quality products. Website software such as Wix, Weebly and Muse have taken away the need for back end coding and still produce high quality websites with ease.
