• a wide range of presentations from mild stiffness to severe spasm and inability to stand

• identify any wounds and make aerobic (clean & flush), don’t forget dental wounds
• supportive therapy
• may need sedation (e.g. ACP) if noise sensitive
• anti-toxin controversial as the toxin is already bound in the spinal cord

• depends if source of toxin can be identified and removed, and how severely affected
• some dogs will do very well
