When to vaccinate

A

3 dose primary series
-6wks - 4wk interval - 4 wk interval

3 booster doses with 4 years between doses

  • 1-2 years old
  • 4-7 years old
  • 9-15 years old

When to give immunoglobulin

A

Tetanus immunization incomplete/uncertain + high risk tetanus prone wound

  • heavy soil/manure contamination
  • wounds/burns with extensive devitalised tissue
  • wounds/burns needing surgery with 6hour+ delay
