Pathophysiology
-most common causes
A
Raised pressure within closed anatomical space => necrosis due to poor perfusion
Supracondylar fracture
Tibial shaft injury

Diagnosis
A
Measurement of intracompartmental pressure
40mmHg+

Management
A
Fasciotomy => myoglobinuria
- can result in renal failure
- patients urgently need IV fluids
If muscle groups necrotic => debridement and amputation may be needed
