Insepction - wasting, deformity, swelling, bruising

Palpation - effusion, local tenderness, popliteal swelling

Movement tests for range of movement

  • straight leg raise => rule out quads tear
  • compare extension on both sides => rule out locking
  • McMurray => rule out meniscal tear
  • Drawer => ACL, PCL injuries
