- hx of testicular cancer

once per month after warm shower
feel for lump or changes

signs and symptoms
A
- painless testicle swelling/lump
- testicular pain
- lymph node swelling
- abd masses
- sudden hydrocele (swelling in scrotum)
- gynecomastia
- oligospermia (decreased sperm count)
- azoospermia (no sperm count)

Diagnosis
A
common tumor markers (increased):
- alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)
- Beta human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG)
- lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)
Ultrasound
CT
MRI

A
- discuss sperm banking
- surgery (radical unilateral orchiectomy- remove testical and lymph)
- radiation
- chemo
- postop care- increase r/f pain, infection, bleeding, dvt
- continue self exams on remaining testicle
- option for prosthesis
