Describe the Digital Flow Meter and Display
Kessler-Ellis BAT R/T
Used for various Section 11 valve and check valve tests in the SI and AFW systems
- Once wired, operation is automatic
- totalizer updates every 2 seconds
- when an error occurs the display will flash
- batteries should be replaced one at a time to avoid interrupting the power
Must be plugged in when not in use.
Describe the Thermocouple meter
Used for ADV in service testing
- Fluke 51
- display reads - - - - when a thermocouple is not connected
- display shows OL (overload) when temp being measured is outside thermocouple’s valid range
- thermocouple types have color codes
- inspect casing before use, pay particular attention to insulation around connectors. Disconnect before opening case. Ensure polarity is correct. Don’t use around explosive gas, vapor or dust

- minimize time analyzer is energized without flow to prevent overheating the sensor cell. Analyzer tubing should be hooked up to supply flow before unit is energized
- conducts 20 second self test when started

Used for Containment Spray Pumps and Check Valves inservice ST
- uses different pressure modules.
- to change pressure modules, the unit must be off to prevent damage
- ensure you Zero out the reading. Do not ZERO out an absolute pressure module.
