Q

overview of Tosphot

A

im yerushalmi it says your Yotzei if said AR only if you learn directly after, but it was asked to R Yitzchak, if we don’t learn till middle of the day why dont we say bracha again, the Ri says bc our Talmud doesn’t say anything abt it, therefore we don’t need to learn right after AR. also it’s only for AR that one needs to learn right after bc the intention was for Shema not BH, why is this any different then leishev bsukkah, those are specific time, torah is all day, we don’t say blessing on sleeping in Sukkah bc some say its covered from eating bracha and some say bc you cant control when sleep it could be lavatala
Rabeinu tam says that if someone wakes up in mid of night to learn they don’t need to say Bracha bc bracha from previous shacrit covers and this is not correct. The french have a practice to learn a little mishnah and gemara based off gmara yerushalmi but its not neccesary as stated earlier
