What is a covenant
a promise between God and a group of people like a contract. It deals with God and Christians for eternity.

David- his descendants would be kings/ the messiah would come from his line

Who was Moses
a Hebrew prophet who was called to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Moses also gave them the 10 commandments

The Old Covenant is between God and the Israelites. It was based on the ten commandments (Decalogue)to restore people back to God’s plan

Jesus used metaphors within his parables to relate what he was trying to say to his audience.
Metaphor
a figure of speech used to compare the nature of one thing of one thing by relating it to another thing without using like or as. Ex. Jesus is the light of the world.

Kingdom of God:
Is a symbol used by Jesus by speaking about God and God’s action among us. Jesus said the kingdom of God can happen on earth and is a promise that there is a whole lot more to come. This kingdom is not a place where God reigns.

The empty tomb is an essential sign and its discovery by the disciples was the first step towards recognizing the resurrection.

God loves us so much he was willing to sacrifice his only son Jesus to save us from our sins. Jesus took away our suffering and opened the gates of heaven for us. He represents that life on earth is hard and can be painful but will be worth it for life after heaven. Furthermore, God sent Jesus to be born in a manger.
