One interesting fact
One Interesting Fact:
One interesting fact about St. Albert the great is that Saint Mary appeared to him and gifted him intellect which he then used to write 38 volumes on many topics such as love, friendship, philosophy, geography, etc. (Catholic Online, 2024)
Miracles or scientific achievements
St. Albert the Great did not perform any miracles however he did see St. Mary. Despite not preforming miracles, St. Albert the Great did contribute many things to science. He discovered the element arsenic as well as the philosopher’s stone which he passed down to his pupil Thomas Aquinas, however it is not confirmed. St Albert experimented with photosensitive chemicals and is said to have witnessed gold transmutation however this theory is highly unlikely. St. Albert believed all-natural things were made of matter which he referred to as quod est meaning “it is what it is”. He also believed God is the single ruling entity and has divine authority. My special intention:
St. Albert the Great Pray for us. We ask for your intercession for students struggling with school or people in need of knowledge.
Day 1 Prayer by an unknown author on the Catholic Novena website:
Heavenly Father, you made St Albert truly Great by enabling him to combine human wisdom and Divine Faith.
We ask you to allow St Albert the Great to come to our assistance as we study and prepare for our Finals and Exams and all our studies.
We ask the Blessed Mother Mary to intercede on our behalf, in not only bringing us closer to her Son, Jesus, but also to take us to Jesus along with St. Albert the Great, the patron Saint of Students.
May our knowledge, which we work so hard to obtain in our studies, bring us ever closer to Jesus, and may our knowledge be of service to building up the Kingdom of God.
May all we do glorify God as we work toward a higher education. May St. Albert the Great help ease our anxiety as we study, prepare, and take exams.
All this we ask in Jesus Name, Amen.
O God, who did richly adorn St. Albert with your heavenly gifts and decorated him with all virtues, grant that, following in his footsteps, we may persevere in your service until death and securely obtain an everlasting reward. Through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen.
Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory Be
Saint Albert the Great, pray for us!
Part D: the Saints Influence on me:
I) I chose St. Albert the Great because he is the patron Saint scientists, philosophers, etc. This interested me because in the future, I hope to have a job that is heavily affected by the science fields. Furthermore, St. Albert is known for his intelligence and knowledge on many different topics making him a good saint for me who is currently a student.
II) As a student, I can live like St. Albert the great by studying and doing my best in school. I can be like him by sharing my knowledge with others and helping others where I can. As a student, I can help others understand the homework or share notes they missed on days they are away with them. By doing this, I can help spread the word of God through my actions and be a generous person. Furthermore, in the future, I will help support the sciences like St. Albert whether it be through donating or joining the workforce to help society.
