“Repetition”. Repetition of various poems from the scriptures.

“True Name”. Another word for the name of god.
Sat Nam
“Door/ Grace of the Guru”. Sikh temples. Men sit on one side, women on the other. generally no seats. You always cover your head when you enter.
Gurdwara
Communal kitchen, always has vegetarian meal. Everyone sits on the floor because everyone is equal.

The 10th guru. Established the Khalsa order. Transmits the guruship to the Adi Granth Sahib.

“Pure” order of the Singh. Pure of ego. Khalsa Sikhs wear the 5 K’s.

Uncut hair, symbolizes verility, energy for god.

Sword/dagger. Worn on the body of Khalsa Sikhs. Only permitted to be used in defense of the faith.

Long underwear for modesty.

Comb, used to keep the long hair in a bun.

Kangha
Steel bracelet. Worn on both hands or the domiant hand. Because the hand is the organ of action, whatever you do, the movement of the bracelet will remind you that you should be doing it for god.

Kara
“Sacred Collection” as the Guru. Guru Gobind Singh transferred the guruship to the Adi Granth Sahib becayse he did not want anymore Sikh martyrs. When it is carried it is over the head because the guru is higher than you.
