What are the Steps to being good at conversation?
Step 1: Be Brave
Act like you want to talk to this person
Be assertive
Step 2: The Handshake
Don’t kill the person, but be firm
Step 3: Say your name
Introduce yourself with both your first and last name- plus a smile
Step 4: Listen to their name
Repeat their name back: “it’s nice to meet you, Sophia.”
Step 5: Have a conversation
Ask questions - People like talking about themselves
Be interesting - no one likes talking about the weather
- Tip: Ask deep questions-But don’t be creepy
-Be confident - Nervousness can look like you don’t want to talk to this person
