Q

SOLVENT PAIR. How do we prepare a solvent pair?

A

Two or more miscible solvents, which when added together form a mixture having the appropriate properties for recrystallization. Once solvent usually dissolved the compound very well while the other solvent dissolves the comound pooryly or not at all.
