dred scott decision

A

dred scott was a slave whose owner was in the military meaning he moved all over and scott was a slave in free states. scott brought this to a jury who originally gave him his freedom but then the case was overturned by the supreme court and it was taken away as they said he could not sue as a slave and property is protected by the constitution. people can now take slaves anywhere.
