What is throttling
Bandwidth throttling consists in the limitation of the communication speed of the ingoing data and/or in the limitation of the speed of outgoing data in a network node or in a network device. The data speed may be limited depending on various parameters and conditions.
What is Time Division Multiplexing
Time-division multiplexing is a method of transmitting and receiving independent signals over a common signal path by means of synchronized switches at each end of the transmission line so that each signal appears on the line only a fraction of time in an alternating pattern.
What is Point to Point
In telecommunications, a point-to-point connection refers to a communications connection between two communication endpoints or nodes. An example is a telephone call, in which one telephone is connected with one other, and what is said by one caller can only be heard by the other.
What is mesh topology
A mesh network is a local network topology in which the infrastructure nodes connect directly, dynamically and non-hierarchically to as many other nodes as possible and cooperate with one another to efficiently route data from/to clients.
What is DHCP Reservation
A DHCP reservation is a permanent IP address assignment. It is a specific IP address within aDHCP scope that is permanently reserved for leased use to a specific DHCP client. Users can configure a DHCP reservation in their DHCP server when they need to reserve a permanent IP address assignment.
What is a netstat
In computing, netstat is a command-line network utility that displays network connections for Transmission Control Protocol, routing tables, and a number of network interface and network protocol statistics.
