a surgical procedure used in the treatment of compartment syndrome. The fascia is cut to relieve pressure within the muscle compartment.

a debridement procedure used in the treatment of burns.

the loss of the ability to understand or express speech.
Aphagia
an inability to swallow.
Dysarthria
difficulty speaking caused by brain damage or brain changes from pathological conditions.

an inability to speak effectively when asked to name or describe an object.
