During the 1950s the number of households that had televisions increased rapidly especially in countries such as the United States and Britain. By the end of 1950s just over 85% of the American public owned a television compared with just 9% in the start of 1950.
How did television shape the society?
It changed the way people live and how they spend their time before television the radio has been the most prominent invention for receiving information or listening to programs but now the television is there. televisions affected relationships and the interactions because most people started spending more time on the television.

They are increasingly a major feature of education, with school students across the world sing computers on a daily basis.

Previously, most communication between people who lived far from each other was done by telephone. Video calling through the internet has change the way many of us communicate.
How did computers affect Industry?
Super computers have been created to carry out specific tasks for examples - modelling different scenarios for weather forecasting, medical research or charting the course of a satellite.
