Future progressive tense
Used to express actions that will be happening or going on at a specific time in the future: “She will be reading a book this afternoon.”
Future tense
Used to talk about an event, action or state that hasn’t yet happened, done through use of auxiliary verbs such as: will, shall and the words ‘going to’.
Past perfect tense
Constructed using use the past tense of the verb “to have” (had) and the past participle of the main verb
Past tense
When the verb is used to describe an action or event in the past:
-to express that an action/state of being happened in the past
-to talk about repeated and habitual actions/events in the past
-to refer to the present
-to refer to the future
Present perfect tense
The tense that describes actions that are in some way continuous, actions that have just occurred, and previous actions where the time is not specific.
Present tense
Used to:
-discuss actions and events occurring at the present time
-reoccurring or habitual actions/events
-Connect past events with the present
-Telling jokes or retelling events
-Talking about the future
-Describing states
