How are Television signals similar to Radio signals?
Television signals are Radio signals with a higher frequency.
Old black & white Televisions used what kind of signals?
VHF signals (Very high frequency).
How can a television station be identified?
A television station can be identified by the frequency of the signal it transmits.
How do the parts of a Television differ to that of a Radio receiver?
They are very similar, but a Television has pairs of Decoders and Amplifiers.
One for sound (Sound Decoder, Sound Amplifier)
And one for images (Vision Decoder, Vision Amplifier)
The Television also has a Tube, or an LCD/Plasma display.
What is the order of Television parts you would expect to see in a block diagram?
Aerial => Tuner => Sound Decoder => Sound Amplifier => Loudspeaker
=> Vision Decoder => Vision Amplifier => Tube/Display
What makes up the colour screen on a Television?
Pixels.
How are all the colours made on a Television screen?
By using red, blue and green light. They are mixed in varying amounts of brightness to produce any colour.
Red and blue make what colour?
Magenta.
Red and green make what colour?
Yellow.
Green and blue make what colour?
Cyan.
What do red, green and blue make together?
White light.
