What does the Aerial do?
The Aerial picks up the radio signal. It also changes it to an electrical signal.
What does the Tuner do?
The Tuner allows you to select the station.
What does the decoder do?
The Decoder translates/decodes the electrical signal.
What does the Amplifier do?
The Amplifier allows you to adjust the volume.
What does the Loudspeaker do?
The Loudspeaker produces sound, and converts electrical energy to sound energy.
If the parts of a Radio Receiver were to be displayed on a block diagram, what would the order be?
Aerial => Tuner => Decoder => Amplifier => Loudspeaker
What is Frequency?
Frequency is the number of waves per second.
How do you measure Frequency?
Frequency is measured in hertz (Hz.)
What does kHz mean?
kHz = one thousand hertz.
What does mHz mean?
mHz = one million hertz.
How is a radio station identified?
A radio station is identified by its frequency.
What frequency do A.M and F.M bands have?
A.M bands have frequencies in kilohertz (kHz).
F.M bands have frequencies in megahertz (mHz).
