What is plaque?
A sticky substance that builds up on teeth over time
What is bacteria?
Bacteria live in the plaque, feeding of sugar and pieces of sugar and pieces of food off the surface of the teeth.
What is acid?
Acid is formed when bacteria feeds off the sugar.
What is enamel?
Enamel is attacked by the acid form, creating a ‘hole’ or cavity.
What is abscess?
Abscess is a collection of pus formed because of bacterial infection.
