Have you managed to learn how to use your mobile phone? Yes, I love using my mobile phone and knowing everything I can do with it. I don’t know how my life would be if I hadn’t got (didn’t have) my mobile phone. In fact, mobile phones are said to be the best invention of the twenty-first century.

What can be done to avoid people being replaced by robots at work? I think that nothing has to be done to avoid people being replaced by robots at work, actually, I think that lots of jobs have to be done by robots because they are dangerous. For example, in the chemical factories, some workers are breathing toxic gases and the same happens in mines.

Do you think children must be warned against the dangers of the Internet? Yes, I think so and what is more, I know some programmes, schools programmes, whose main objective is to show students the dangers of internet. These classes are usually taught by experts such as policemen or psychologists and they warn students against the dangers of the internet.

Do you think the Spanish government should have spent more on space exploration? Yes, and the reason why I think this way is because If we had spent more on space exploration, nowadays we would have got lots of jobs in the technological industry.
Do you hope space exploration will allow us to discover new energy sources?
Do you hope space exploration will allow us to discover new energy sources? I don’t know if the space exploration will allow us to discover new energy sources. I think we have the right energy resources but these resources need to be improved, for example the nuclear fusion or the hydrogen fuel cells. The last one can be bought nowadays.
What do you think about new technologies?
What do you think about new technologies? I support the new technologies because they make our lives easier. Can you imagine how our daily life would be if we lived in the eighteenth century? How many people died by appendicitis, tuberculosis or simple diarrhea? Technology has improved our life expectancy, this is a fact.
Are you good with computers?
Are you good with computers? Yes, I am. I started to study computer science when I was eighteen and I have been studying it until now. Some years ago people said that I was an expert, actually I spent five years teaching computer science. Nowadays I only study for myself.
Are you in any social web?
Are you in any social network? Yes, I am. I think that I have got all existing social networks. I have an account in facebook, another one in linkedin, another one in google plus, etc. I think it is a good way to keep in contact with lots of people, but, on the other hand nowadays we spend less time face to face with ours friends. For this reason everybody should switch off the computer for a week and go out for drinks with friends.
What do you think about spending a lot of money in the newest computers?
What do you think about spending a lot of money in the newest computers? It depends, for example if you work in graphic design you will need the newest computer with a powerful 64-bit microprocessor and the biggest graphic card, on the other hand, if you use the computer only for surfing the net and text processing, you will need the cheapest computer.

Do you have a computer at home? What is it? Yes, I have four computers at home. An old desktop computer, a fast laptop, a netbook and a Imac. The last one was my wife’s gift. Nowadays, I am thinking to buy an ultrabook, but it is a bit expensive, and for this reason I prefer to wait for a while.

What software are you familiar with? Some years ago I used to work with computers, for this reason I knew lots of software. I was good working with graphic design, word processors, programming language, hardware, etc. Nowadays I only use basic programmes, at a user level, to surfing the net, checking emails, to write a letter, etc.

Do you use email very often? What’s your email address? Yes I use it everyday, to work and i my free time. I don’t know what I would do if the email didn’t exist. My email address is antonio@hotmail.com.

What are your favourite websites on the internet? I like lots of websites on the internet, for example a website that I like a lot is panoramio.com, it is about photograph, you can upload the pictures that you have taken on the world’s on a map, and everybody is able to see them. If you have taken a beautiful picture you will be able to put it in this website.
How important is technology in your life? Could you live without it?
How important is technology in your life? Could you live without it? Technology is one of the most important things in my life, I have got laptop, tablets, the newest touch screen phone, etc. My life would be very difficult without technology, but If I hadn’t had this kind of devices I would have lived differently but not better or worse.
What king of technology or which gadget has changed your life?
What kind of technology or which gadget has changed your life? Definitely the gadget which has changed my life the most is without doubt the smartphone. My life is completely different now in comparison with my life ten years ago when I hadn’t got a mobile phone. If you have got the newest smartphone, you have got a mobile, an mp3 player, a camera, a little computer, etc. And all of them in a small device that you can put on your pocket.
