A
  • If you stand in middle of class, can only see 50% of class
  • If you walk arounbd the outside behind your student with back to the wall, let’s students know you can see everything.
  • Can detect behavior and prevent it from escalating.

Overlapping

A

Ability to fous on several things that are happening simultaneously and still maintain intended direction.

-5/6 students requiring teacher attention at same time, need to know how to respond to them accoirdingly and simultaneously

Proximity control

A

Spot someone off task and simply walk to where the student is.

Look at student until they see you, look lets them know you have spotted their behavior.

A

-Purposely ignore someone that is behavining in a manner that is not considered

‘normal’ but may not be ‘off task’ E.G Special needs , High energy
