Technical Flashcards
When do you get the fuel LO LVL warning on ECAM?
When fuel quantity in one tank drops below 750 KG.
What happens with the speed brakes when you select the landing configuration?
Auto-retraction
With the NAV/LOGO switch in 1 when will the NAV and LOGO lights be on?
NAV lights all the time.
LOGO lights when the main gear struts are compressed or the flaps are extended at least 15 degrees (Config 2).
Auto flap retraction at what speed?
210 KTS. Slats remain extended.
ENG 1 (2) Fault Light?
- Automatic start abort
- Disagreement between the HP fuel valve position and its commanded position
Engine mode selector to CRANK?
Start valve opens if the MAN start pb-sw is on. Ignition does not fire.
Engine mode selector in NORM what does it do for you?
Continuous IGN A + B when engine is running and either a
- A flame out is detected
- EIU (Engine interface unit) fails
SRS what is the speed target
- In normal engine configuration on TKF?
- When FMGS detects an engine failure on TKF?
- When performing a go-around?
- On TKF it commands V2+10
- Engine out the speed target becomes the highest of V2 or current speed, limited by V2+15
- Go-around VAPP or current speed if higher, limited to VLS+15
RWY has two sub modes. What do they command?
1) RWY mode ➡️ Lateral guidance orders. TKF roll and initial climb out, up to 30’ RA when a valid LOC signal is available.
2) RWY track mode ➡️ Lateral guidance on the track the aircraft was flying at mode engagement (at 30’ RA).
Alpha-floor protection. Explain?
Auto-thrust mode. If the AOA goes beyond a set value (very high AOA) (signal triggered by FAC) depending on configuration it will command TOGA thrust regardless of thrust lever position.
It’s armed from lift-off to 100’ RA in approach.
Only available in normal law.
You get the audio “Triple click”. What has happened? (3)
1) landing capability downgrade
2) GPS primary lost in approach
3) mode reversion
How many LE slats are there and which ones are heated when you switch the wing anti-ice on.
5 LE slats per wing. The three outboard LE slats are heated (number 3,4 and 5).
Soft ALT mode explain?
The FMGS engages the soft ALT mode 2 min after the cruise flight level is captured and MACH stabilized.
Soft ALT mode allows the aircraft to deviate +/- 50’ from the target altitude to minimize the thrust variation and reduce fuel consumption.
