Give an example of how you’ve worked as a part of a team.
At Ask Italian, as a supervisor, I worked closelywith the kitchen and FOH staff to ensure a smooth service. We had a system of constant communication to handle busy periods and I coordinated team members to ensure that all customers were served efficiently.
How do you handle working with people that you don’t get along with?
At the pub their was a colleague which I had a different work style to. Instead of letting this impact the team and myself, I focused on fostering open communication and a professional attitude.
Describe a time when you had to solve a problem as a part of a team.
At GWQ, during a busy weekend, our team suddenly experienced an influx of visitors. To prevent a chaotic situation, we quickly regrouped, delegated tasks, and I coordinated with other team members to ensure all areas of responsibility were covered.
What role do you take on in a team setting?
When working as part of a team, I usually assume a supportive and adaptable role, and am willing to take on any task to ensure the end goal is met. I am able to step up and take the lead if needed and ensure that everyone is able to work collaboratively and everyone’s ideas are heard.
How would you support a fellow team member who is struggling during a flight?
I would offer to help with their tasks when possible, providing support and encouragement, and encourage them to speak to the flight manager. I would make them feel supported but also ensuring my own tasks are fulfilled.
