Why did you choose to apply for a career as a cabin crew member?
I thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where I can help people. This is evidenced in my time as a supervisor at Ask Italian and my time as a guest service host at Gunwharf Quays where I learnt how rewarding it can be to assist people at important parts of their day, whether it be dining or shopping. Becoming a cabin crew member would allow me to continue my passion for customer service, development, and various skills.
What makes a good cabin crew member?
To me, a good cabin crew member is an individual who can remain calm under pressure, is adaptable and has excellent communication skills. In my previous roles I often had to remain composed during busy periods, answering inquiries, and resolve customer issues whilst maintaining a positive demeanour throughout.
How do you feel about working long hours, at weekends and holidays?
I am used to working long hours, at weekends, and holidays, especially during my time as a waitress and restaurant supervisor. These roles required flexibility and resilience, and as a result, I have learned how to manage my energy levels and maintain a high-level of service regardless of the hours.
