What is a Team?
A team is a group of likeminded individuals with complementary skills that serve a common goal and have collective accountability.
What is Process Loss?
Process Loss is reduced productivity in groups due to problems w/ group dynamics such as coordination and motivation. Supressing/avoiding conflict, leader-follower dynamic, dominant coalitions.
What is the Composition Problem?
The composition problem is when no expertise is identified/available.
What is the Participation Problem?
The participation problem is when participants among a group is overran by the minority, and expertise is not being shared potentially.
What is Team Psychological Safety?
Team Psychological Safety is the shared belief that it is safe to take interpersonal risk in the team.
What is the Influence Problem?
The Influence Problem identifies that the people that are speaking the most are the most influential, and that non-experts can have expert-like confidence.
What is Groupthink?
Groupthink is when group cohesion is very high and group members do not want to risk interpersonal relationships. Leads to the decrease in discussion of proper alternatives.
