Q

What elements lead to an effective team according to jacod and plamping 1989

A

-A team which works well facilitates participation by allowing its members to influence howdental health care is delivered
-A strong dental health care team is more able to encourage participation by patients because team members will be in agreement on their goals and can give consistent messages to patients about their dental health behaviours
-A team which works well has members who are secure in their own roles and are therefore more comfortable sharing power and decision making with patients
-Well functioning teams have clearly assigned tasks and little duplication of effort, and so are efficient in terms of time and money
-Job satisfaction is more likely in a team whose members have similar goals and the ability to solve conflict amicably
