The Vice-president oversees all Team membership activities, chairs the Long Range Plans Committee, and responds to membership-related inquiries. Administer membership services. Must be knowledgeable of all CAMRA activities

What are the duties of the Secretary?

A

The Secretary is responsible for maintaining minutes of all regular and Board meetings, ensuring that all OSHA and DHS-required records are current, and generating mailings requested by the Board or officers. Maintain the membership roster, issue MRA membership cards, submit the annual membership roster to the MRA, update the Team Bylaws and policies, check Team mail, and provide monthly logs at each monthly membership meeting. By January 30th each year, provide annual statistics to the MCSO, and by the 15th of each month, provide monthly statistics to the base hospital.

What are the duties of the Treasure?

A

The Treasurer’s duties include paying bills and depositing funds promptly, providing written acknowledgement to donors, preparing monthly reports, keeping accurate records, arranging for an annual and outgoing treasurer audit, and preparing periodic budget reports for review by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of CAMRA’s finances and must sign new signature cards at the bank for all existing accounts or open a new account if necessary.

A

Yes. Certain classes and skills may be waived or the candidate can test out. A line by line comparison of the candidates skills/classes to CAMRA checklist will be done ensure the skill/class being accommodated is equivalent to CAMRA needs.

How are reimbursement requests handled?

A

A reimbursement request must be made in a timely manner, include original receipts, and be approved by the Board of Directors and/or the Team.

Treasurer receives reimbursement request, reviews it for accuracy, writes check, forwards it to second check signer, records check, files receipts and supporting documentation, and notifies president and secretary.

How should you approach a subject or scene with regards to law enforcement?

A

Approach every victim scene and all other scenes with the idea that it may now be, or may become, a crime scene. Photograph each scene before you enter it, and do not disturb the scene any further.

If you are the first MR member on scene:

  2. Choose whether or not to respond (is it appropriate and safe)
  3. Before responding, ensure comms are available. If they are not available, the rescuer needs to decide if it safe to proceed without comms.
  4. The rescuer shall give this information to MCSO radio
  5. Only act within your scope of training!!
