- Basic strategies and tactics which involve rules, boundaries.
- Criteria to assess game value which includes if the game is working, if learning is occurring, and if all participants are involved

Why do we need teaching games for understanding?
A
These introduce basic concepts, rules and exposure to FMS as participants become literate and develop and understand skills and tactics that are needed to be physically active in games and sports
