How does it work?

A

SOFIT uses time sampling to provide baseline information about a recreational activity. it identifies three main areas:
1. Physical activity levels.
2. Lesson context
3. Instructor behaviour

The impact of gymnastics (largely related to the study done in primary schools)

A

The study evaluated the effectiveness of an eight week gymnastics curriculum on children’s movement, competency, and physical levels. Gymnastics was found to be an excellent benefit for developing children and explored a diverse range of movement. All children have participated demonstrated as significant improvement and total FMS score and object control skills, highlighting the importance of gymnastics for children’s movement and skill development.
