TD 27 Flashcards
What is Transverse Flow Effect?
In forward flight, air passing through the rear portion of the rotor disk has a greater downwash angle than air passing through the forward portion.
Reduced AOA on the rear of the rotor disk equals less lift.
Increased AOA on the front of the rotor disk equals more lift.
Due to Gyroscopic precession the helicopter will tend to turn right.
Rotor RPM Limitations
See tabel
