Q

What are the different altitude settings available for the Threat Intervisibility on the TAC/MFD?

A

Threat Intervisibility control is provided for plan altitude selections of Radar Altitude/Baro Altitude (RAD ALT/BARO ALT), PRESET (which uses AGL for plan altitude), or OFF.

If TIV is set to Radar Altitude/Baro Altitude and a valid Rad Alt input is received, RAD ALT will be displayed below TIV.

If the Rad Alt is failed but a valid Baro Alt input is received, BARO ALT will be displayed below TIV.

If both the Rad Alt and Baro Alt are failed, the MFD will be forced into Preset mode and PRESET will be displayed in red text below TIV.
