Used on day to day basis to remind of tasks to be completed
What is a Gantt chart?
A chart a manager puts up to allow individuals to see key dates and tasks
Why do you need to set targets?
Help managers to organise resources
Encourages employees to keep to deadlines making them more productive and motivated
Gives a sense of direction
Consequences of inadequately defined targets
Tasks could be completed incorrectly
Tasks could run over budget
Employees may feel inadequate reducing confidence and increased stressing leading to absenteeism
