TAKE OFF Flashcards
What is the pitch attitude you should have when looking back in right after rotation? Normal TO AEO.
15°
Describe the tailwind take off technique.
- THR 50%
- Full pitch down
- Increase to 70%
- Once GS 15kts advance to FLEX/TOGA progressively to reach that thrust setting by 40kts GS.
Why do we set the chrono on take-off?
To check the max time for TOGA/FLEX thrust. 5 min AEO / 10 mins OEI.
EAI must be set to ON when icing conditions exists, except…
… during CLIMB and CRUISE when SAT is below -40°C.
Pitch for OEI take off?
12.5° and SLOW rotation
Describe the EFATO procedure. (10-5)
- Beta target (BLUE BRICK) 2s more in ground + SLOW ROTATION
- Rudder trim 10-12s
- AP…….ON
- Pull HDG
- CONFIRM FAILURE (“ENG FAIL”, “ENG FIRE”…)
- Silent cockpit till 400ft RA
- OEBs + “My radios my controls”
- ECAM Actions
- “Engine secure”
- “STOP ECAM”
**NOW SECURE THE ACFT
- Push to lvl off - “MAYDAY / PAN call climbing XXX heading XXX” - A A A (ATC, Attention CC at stations, Activate S-FPL) - Clean the aircraft - Green dot + PULL to climb whatever altitude you’ve set - OPEN CLB + THR MCT (like act.app.ph + speed manage) - Continue ECAM
What is the standard profile regarding noise abatement for all take-offs?
NADP 2.
NADP 2.
- Climb on take off thrust till 800ft at V2 +10kts (SRS mode)
- At 800ft ➡️ THR CLB. Accelerate to en-route climb speed and retract flaps as scheduled.
NADP 1.
- Climb on take off thrust till 800ft at V2 +10kts (SRS mode)
- At 800ft ➡️ THR CLB. ⚠️ V2 +10kts (SRS mode) AGAIN until 3000ft.
- Above 3000ft accelerate to en-route climb speed and retract flaps as scheduled.
Time frame for take off.
5 mins before; 10 mins after.
Where do we look during take off when saying “Thrust set”?
The limitation on the engine (upper right corner) matches both engines’ parameters.
Max crosswind allowed for take off when NOTAM states: “Slippery when wet”?
25kts.
