What is the purpose of the SLAVE button on the RHG?
Slaves the CPG’s selected sight and/or enables cueing to the currently selected acquisition source
How many fields of view are available if the CPG is using the TADS as a sight with the FLIR as the selected sensor?

How many fields of view are available if the CPG is using the TADS as a sight with the Day TV as the selected sensor?

LHG cursor controler- z-axis
Or the cursor enter button on RHG
What is the default sight for both crew members?
HMD
When the pilot sigh selects TADS from the collective mission grip, what happens?
Nothing, the selection will be ignored
Where can the crew look to determine what sight has been selected?
There are 2
Viewing the sight select status field of the high action display or the weapon page
The CPG has the FCR as their selected sight. If the pilot takes the FCR from the CPG, what will the mission processor use as the CPG’s new LOS?
Depends on the NVS mode switch position
- mode switch off: TADS
- mode switch NORM or FIXED: HMD
In what capacity can the pilot use the TADS?
The pilot can use the TADS as a sensor
- NVS select to TADS
- LINK the TADS to the FCR NTS
When the aircraft is initially powered, what will be displayed in the Sight Select Status of the HAD?
HMD
Can the CPG move the TADS using the Sight Manual Tracker if the Scene Track is enabled?
Yes, the scene track gates will flash, the drop, and await the CPG to stop moving the TADS
Can the CPG switch from FLIR to DTV during manual tracking?
Yes, there should be no affect when changing the sensor in use during manual tracking. Scene track will re-establish itself once you are in the new sensor
If the CPG is using LMC to track a target while the aircraft is moving, what should the CPG provide in order to maintain a valid track?
A valid range to the target
Which switches, when enabled/actioned, will disable scene track?
When the CPG enables/actions
SLAVE button
IAT (initiates a point attack)
LMC button
AZ/EL - initiates/conducts a manual drift null
LT switch - auto or manual - initiates LT operations
Can the CPG switch the sensor in use if there is a point track established?
Yes, when tracking in one sensor, the tracker gates will change from brackets to + symbols
The laser tracker (lt) switch is functional when _____ is the selected sight?
TADS
Once the properly coded laser energy has been acquired by the laser tracker, what will the TADS do?
Laser trackin*hardware takes over turret control once a spot is acquired, when in either the manual or auto mode. It will auto-track the TADS around the laser energy spot
If the crew needs to change the LT code from B to D, which page should be selected to complete the task?
WPN- CODE - SET with LST selected
How does the CPG regain control of the TADS LOS once the LT has locked onto a laser spot?
Place the LT switch into the O (off) position
What pages, when accessed, enable the crew to change the acquisition source? (7)
FCR/UAV, WPN, TSD, ENG, FLT, ASE, AAG pages
Which cueing format is the most accurate?
The cued LOS reticle is the most accurate
What is the default acquisition source?
FIXED
Can both crew members have the same ACQ source?
Yes
The CPG has sight - selected the FCR. If the CPG attempts to curser acquisition an RFI icon from the TSD what will occur?
A terrain point will be dropped at that location on the map
From which pages can the crew cursor acquisition an icon?
The TSD CAQ
The ASE CAQ
The ASE page will allow cursor selection of which icons?
RFI and ASE icons
When is a manual Servo Drift Null procedure required?
If the aim point does not remain within the narrow FOV of the DTV for 30 sec or if a lesser amount of drift is desired
Initial sight selection of TADS will cause the TADS to move from what position?
The fixed forward position
What switch is used to delete a scene or point track?
The IAT/OFS/DEL switch
After pressing the AZ/EL button, how long does it take before the AZ and EL switches are active?
5 sec
How often is it recommended that an internal boresight be conducted?
Can it be completed in flight?
Twice every 2.5 hours
It can be completed in flight as long as the TADS is ready and FLIR is cooled
What must the CPG do upon completing of the DTV. Oresight in order to begin the FLIR boresight procedure?
Release the laser trigger
What is the copilot/gunner boresighting when performing an internal boresighting?
The DTV narrow and zoom to the laser and the FLIR narrow and zoom parallel to he DTV
Is the ground override switch required to be placed in the override position for the laser to fire during internal boresight procedure?
No
Which sensor is boresight end first during internal boresight?
The DTV
Name the 6 available range sources in the CPG station?
Default, radar, manual, automatic, laser, NAV
How does the the crew member select auto ranging?
Crew can select auto range:
1. WPN page - MAN RNG select - KU wakes up
2. Keyboard unit, ‘A’ and enter
Where is the current range and range source displayed?
In 5e range and range source field of the HAD on the left of the FOR and above the sight status field
What is the maximum range that can be displayed when using the NAV range?

The stored target position will appear in the weapon inhibit field of the HAD for 4 seconds.
What range is used in order to successfully complete an HMD store?
Auto range
If storing a control measure using TADS, what page must the CPG have displayed in order to insure that a control measure gets stored instead of a target?
The CPG must be on the TSD- POINT page with STO selected, then TYPE to CM in order to store a control measure, otherwise a target will be stored
