Generators: voltage type, purpose and what they supply power to
driven by trans agb, it generates ac voltage, sends to the gcu (generator control units) via an AC bus
*normally carries 50% work load, but can carry all ac work loads
generator control unit: voltage type, purpose, where it gets power and where it sends it
AC voltage, they regulates and protects the ac voltage produced by the generators
TRU: power type, purpose where it gets power and where it sends it
converts AC power to DC power, primary source of dc power for the PDP
PDP: power type, what it distributes power to
has both AC and DC power, it receives power and distributes power accordingly, both directly and indirectly powers the circuit breaker panels
ELC, PCU, CBP
PCU: What power type, purpose, where it receives power from and where it sends it
both AC and DC power, relay from the PDP, every input of power from the PDP, the PCU will output it to a specific subsystem
ELCs electrical logic center: type of power, purpose, where it gets power and where it sends it
Ac and dc voltage, it has circuit protection, switch logic (can distribute power or stop sending something power based on pilot inputs)
external power: purpose, how does it get power
Supplies aircraft with power for all aircraft loads
AGPU, another helicopter (through utility reciptical)
Effect: dual engine failure
rotor droop/ low rotor speed will cause loss of AC power due to gen failures
loss of gen1 and gen 2 will cause what to loose power?
loss of FMC inouts/BUCS, PNVS/TADS, HDU, MPD’s, engine anti ice will come on
