Q
What are Tables?
A
- present data clearly, to show patterns in scores
- can be used to show raw data; or
- descriptive statistics eg. the mean, range etc
2
Q
What are Histograms?

- columns touch each other
- all intervals are shown
3
Q
What are Frequency Polygons?
A
- present continuous data, which is measured on a continuous scale along the a axis
- the frequency of the event is plotted on the y axis
- used to show a test of difference when more than one set of data needs to be presented
4
Q
What are Scatter grams?
A
- used to show a test of correlation
- data points are not connected
- the trend in data is shown by a line of best fit
5
Q
What are Bar Charts?
A
- present non continuous data, which falls into categories along the x axis
- the frequency is plotted on the y axis
- columns do not touch each other
