Q

What is a directional hypothesis?

A
  • A directional hypothesis predicts the direction of the results
  • It states exactly how the DV will be affected by the IV

Q

What is a non-directional hypothesis?

A
  • A non-directional hypothesis does not predict the direction of the results
  • It merely states that the DV will be affected by the IV but does not suggest how

What is a null hypothesis?

A
  • A null hypothesis states that there is no relationship between the two variables
  • There will be no changes in the DV due to the manipulation of the IV
