Madero was sent to jail by Diaz, lots of opposition towards Diaz’s policies, land reforms, and accompany to foreign powers, Madero escaped and set up revolutionary offices, Madero’s troops under command of Villa attacked and defeated Mexican troops, Zapata redistributed land to peasants, resulted in new constitution in 1917 and Institutional Revolutionary Party was created in 1929, LO1; led to political instability and violence, adapted new constitution

Events leading up to: Bloody Sunday petition where marchers were killed, Revolution of 1905 workers refused to work and were killed, injured, or exiled, Russo-Japanese War, World War I, Russia was falling behind Europe in power, slower to reform and industrialize, in 1917 Bolsheviks under Lenin seized power and created a communist gov. and became successful, LO1; internal and external factors led to the revolution and reform of Russia

Franklin Roosevelt used Keynes’ economic ideals, was a group of policies that to bring relief, recovery, and reform, relief for the suffering like the poor, minorities, farmers, unemployed, and women, recovery to get nation out of Depression, reform to change gov. policies to avoid future troughs, LO4; US used a beneficial way to get nation out of crisis through gov. spending

Hitler used a strategy called blitzkrieg which was a lightning war in attempt to dial Poland down, he ordered a large campaign against an island near the German air force called Luftwaffe, aircraft carriers were ships that allowed planes to take off and land on decks at sea, this helped the Allied forces because it provided air support and made it convenient for naval forces, LO7; different forces used different techniques that would benefit them in war

Hitler had a specific view of the Aryan race, Nazis began moving from place to place to kills Jews as well as rounding them up and sending them to death camp, Nazis killed 6 million Jews by the end of the war and another 5 million of people who were persecuted, LO8; Hitler had a specific view of the Aryan race leading him to killing anyone that didn’t fit the standards such as political opponents, the disabled, LGBT, and especially the Jews

In the USSR, peasants resisted Stalin’s collectivization of agriculture, they acted on this by destroying their crops and killing their livestock which led to famine, 7 to 10 million peasants died from this, although there weren’t many the gov. took crops that were grown and fed them to industrial workers, LO8; the extremist power of Stalin led to famine of millions of peasants but growth to industry
