T car and Ramp Isolation Process Flashcards
The door on the T car is not working what do you do first?
Radio the Operator ask to command all doors.
If that dosnt work
Recommence R.O.W
If still not closing go to the affected door check for obstructions and make your local.
Recommce R.O.w
if that dosnt work commence T Car door Isolation procedure
If the T car door needs Isolating what do you first?
First steps are to isolate the ramp
- Open and pull the emergency door egress.
- Go to the affected ramp and door and insert the triangular key into the ramp isolation switch.
Triangle Key key should be inserted horizontally. Turn anti- clockwise for a high floor. Clockwise for a low floor.
3.Turn the key 45degrees in the correct position to the floor. This will release the ramp.
Door status light will be white, alarm will sound.
LEAVE YOUR KEY IN THE RAMP ISOLATION SWITCH.
- Using both hands to ensure the ramp is flush inside its housing.
5.Turn the triangle Key another 45 degrees in the same direction.
You should hear a heavy clunk sound.
LEAVE THE KEY IN THE RAMP ISOLATION SWITCH.
The door status light is now flashing orange and an alarm is active.
6.Contact the Operator via radio to confirm the ramp is isolated. Once confirmed remove the keys and proceed to isolate the door.
Once the ramp is isolated, What are the steps to isolate the door?
- Manually close the door - firmly DO NOT SLAM. Give the door a push to ensure its closed.
- Insert the triangle Key into the mechanical door isolation switch and turn clockwise.
The door status light will be a steady orange.
- Insert the door control key into the panel activate switch on the control panel.
Turn it anti- clockwise to the ISO position . I MUST TAKE IT OUT IN THE ISO POSITION. - Reset the emergency door release - door status light will be red and the alarm will stop.
- Lastly go to a different door and restart ROW procedure.
Place a. Out Of Order sticker on the faulty door.
Contact TOC - advise
Log door fault and broken tag.
