Q

What are the next steps for a pre- departure inspection?

A
  1. Walking from the cab and with all the doors open do a walk through checking to the end of the car/cab checking for…
  • any faults or damage/ graffiti
  • all doors have opened
  • floor lights are working
  • check all tags on emergency latches are in tact
    -all P.As are working

Reaching the end must localise one side of the door and close the rest checking that all exterior door lights are active and that all the ramps in the T-car retract .
Then proceed to the opposite door and repeat the process.

Then walking back through the car I am checking that every door has closed properly.

Returning to where I started my pre- departure inspection, I will fill out the 54 E book if required to report any faults.
