Q

Full Aft Stick

A

Below FL200, >80% RPM
Smoothly pull stick back all the way
Notice wing rock and high sink rate at full aft stick and high AOA
Recover by leaving power and relaxing back sick pressure

Q

Simulated Trim Failure

A

Below FL200, >300 KCAS, trim for level flight
Without retrimming, slow to final approach speed
configure and feel stick forces, then retrim for configuration
simulate a go around and do not retrim, accelerate above 300KCAS

Q

Rudder Effectiveness

A

Configure with gear, full flaps
level flight approach to stall indications, set up level final turn
Quickly apply top rudder, wait, neutralize and see overcorrection
Then apply full top rudder but take it out quick and see plane recovers to level flight

Q

Aileron Effectiveness

A

Power set between 85% and MIL
Roll at different G-loads and AOA
20 NH pitch, 90% RPM, airspeed decrease to 150
Attain mod buffet and roll using just ailerons
Unload and roll again, notice the faster roll rate

Q

Turn Reversals

A

MIL power, 350-400 KCAS
Roll 90 Deg bank, pull for 4Gs
Unload the aircraft, use aileron to reverse the turn direction, and establish the 4Gs again
Then unload again and use the rudder to reverse the turn, notice the decrease in airspeed over the top

Q

Accelerated Stall

A

300 KCAS, enter 2-3g turn, MIL power
Increase back stick pressure to attain light tickle
Then rapidly increase back stick pressure to mild wing rock
Wait till the AOA has increased beyond a useful point and relax pressure back to light buffet

Q

Pitchback

A

Bank > 0 but < 90 (Immelmann)
450-500 KCAS, MIL power
Roll to desired bank, set ailerons, pull to 4-5Gs, maintain for 180 deg

Q

Sliceback

A

Bank > 90 but < 180 (Split-S)
200-300 KCAS, MIL power

Q

Pitch to Slice Exercise

A

Execute a pitchback at 450-500 KCAS, MIL power
Passing through the horizon, hold bank, set ailerons
Execute a sliceback, 200-300 KCAS, MIL power
Pick a point on the ground to pull to

Q

Low-speed Stab Ex

A

60 deg NH, min 85% power
As airspeed decreases through 170 KCAS, unload the aircraft
As you pass through level flight, try to maintain it with back stick pressure
After stall indication, unload again, maintain positive G until reaching 175-200 KCAS, then recover

TP Stalls

A

Turning:
Below FL200, min 80% RPM, NLT 200KCAS
Level final turn: 30 deg bank, 4-5 deg NL, 80% RPM
Diving/Overshooting: 60 deg bank, 5-7 deg NL, 80% rpm

Landing Attitude:
Below FL200, min 80% RPM
Maintain 1,000 fpm VVI
When you detect DBI, HUD, Aural tones, recover
