Systems Development Life Cycle Flashcards
What is beta testing?
Beta testing is the distribution of the code or firmware to a select group of people for them to test the product to find its flaws and limits. These people may be specialist testers or the general public.
Why is testing important?
Without testing products may be released with flaws or may be unable to live up to the standards set. If the product is unable to perform as it should the company is liable to refund customers. The product may also cause distress, damage or physical injury in certain circumstances such as traffic lights causing crashes and injury
What are the key reasons for testing?
Making sure the product is reliable and finding the product’s limits.
What is alpha testing?
Alpha testing is the primary stage of testing usually to remove bugs from the program and is performed by small amounts of specialist testers.
