A

It is Gravity Fed
Uses 100LL fuel (which is blue)
Standard Tanks, 42 gallons, only 38 usable
Long Range Tanks, 52 gallons, only 48 usable

Carburetor

A

Float-Type
Combines fuel and air into a mixture
Uses a venturi to aid in creating that mixture
The venturi decreases the temperature by lowering the pressure, which increases risk of ice build up
Carb ice will usually develop in >= 80% humity and teps between 20-70 degrees F

A

Engine Driven (via accessory case)
Powers Gyroscope for Attitude indicator and heading indicator
Suction Gauge indicates weather vacuum pump is working.

Describe the Electrical System

A

12 Volt Battery
14 Volt Alternator (powered by engine) 60 amps
Ammeter

What does the Ammeter show?

A

Shows performance of the charging system.
Positive: Battery is receiving charge from the Alternator
Zero (or slightly positive): Alternator is providing power to electrical system)
Negative: Battery is providing power to the electrical system and the Alternator has malfunctioned or failed

Brake system

A

Independent brakes
They use Hydraulic Fluid, near incompressible, to actuate brakes on main wheels
Hydraulic fluid is red
