What system do you start with in a systemic review?
Start on the most prudent/relevant system to the presenting complaint
What do you ask about the urogenital system in a systemic review?
- Frequency
- nocturia
- polydipsia
- loin pain
- haematuria
- PV/penile discharge
(women): menarche, menopause, cycle, intermenstrual bleeding, post-coital bleeding
What do you ask about MSK system in a systemic review?
- Myalgia (any muscle pain?)
- arthralgia (any joint pain?)
- back pain
- joint swelling
What do you ask about constitutional symptoms in a systemic review?
- weight loss
- fever
- night sweats
- appetite
What should you ask about a pt generally?
Their mood!
any changes in mood
anxious? low? see things that arent there? [gague this though]
