Treatment for thyroid eye disease:

A

Artificial tears for the keratopathy
Elevate head at night for eyelid oedema
Systemic steroids (monitor IOP)
Radiation if steroids fail

A
Optic neuritis
VFD
CN palsies - usually VI
Nystagmus
RAPD and swollen discs (disc may appear normal if retrobulbar optic neuritis)

Eye symptoms of MS:

A

CN II dysfunction develops over hours or days usually one eye at a time - Decrease in VA, VF and colour (red desaturation)
Pain on eye movements
Uhtoff’s sign: worsening of symptoms on exercise or increased body temperature
