About Start Criteria

A

HDMI OR 14

Hot Start: MGT reachess 867ºC during start

Starter fails to Disengage above 55+- 3% Ng

No MGT indication within 30 seconds after the starter engages

No Np within 30 seconds after Ng reaches Idle 67+-3%

Oil pressure is not evident within 30 seconds after starter is engaged. Do not motor engine if aborting due to lack of oil pressure.

Rotor brake light fails to extinguish within 30 seconds after brake release.

Ng fails to reach 14% within 6 seconds

Rotor Brake Limits

A
  1. Do not apply abouve 60%Nr
  2. Do not apply below 25 percent Nr
  3. Release rotor brake prior to 0% Nr to avoid sudden stoppage
  4. During rotor brake start, release bake within 25 secpmds after engine idle RPM (67+-3%Ng) is attained
  5. During Rotor Brake start, ROTOR BRAKE light should extinguish within 30 seconds after brake release.
  6. Do not exceed engine Idle RPM with rotor brake engaged.

  1. Practice autorotations to a touchdown

Aerobatic maneuvers as defined by CNAF

Practice autorotation entries within the shaded regions of the HV diagram

Abrupt or high magnitude, simultaneous collective and cyclic inputs during flight or on deck

Do not exceed 50 percent MRGB torque at airspeeds above Vh while in a dive

Dual-Engine throttle chops above 120 KIAS

Single-Engine throttle chops above 60 percent MRGB Torque
