16
Q

The core element is filled with _________ gas and responds to ___________ heat caused by ______________ .

A
  • Hydrogen gas
  • localised heat
  • fire or hot gases
17
Q

The sensor tube is filled with __________ gas and responds to ___________ temperatures for ___________ sensing.

A
  • Helium
  • average
  • overheat
18
Q

How does the sensor tube detect average temperature overheat?

A

Helium expands and increases pressure triggering an overheat/fire signal.

19
Q

How does the inner core sense a hot fire or got gas?

A

As the core element temperature increases it releases hydrogen into the sensor tube. This hydrogen mixes with the helium, increasing pressure and setting off the overheat/fire trigger.

20
Q

How many fire sensor tubes?

A

Two

21
Q

How test each fire sensor system?

A

With the fire warning system test switch - 1 or 2 position.

22
Q

What does the firewall shutoff handle close? (3)

A
  • hydraulic fluid
  • fuel to the engine
  • bled air from the engine
